I road my bike that weekend too, but it wasn't pretty! I still need a lot more practice on the Mt. bike before I am ready to do any single track racing. I still stop at all the hills I can't see all the way down, it drives Ron crazy. I also don't like riding over sand or gravel, it freaks me out!

A Great Weekend!

Last weekend we took a trip to Southern California for the 8th Annual Santa Ynez Valley Mountain Bike Classic. What we thought would be just a regular weekend of racing, ended up to be the most quality weekend we have had in a very long time. Sure the racing was fun, but the best part of it was the great people we met and camped with.

When we arrived are first task was to find a place to camp. As we checked out the area a man (Bruce) came over to the van and said, " Why don't you pull in here and camp next to us." He moved some of his things out of the way and helped Ron back the trailer into the camp spot.

Life is so funny, sometimes when you least expect it something ordinary turns into something extraordinary. Bruce, Tomarra and Buddy made our weekend at the race so much more then just another bike race. Bruce was able to have Ross Schnell over to our camp site and give Ronnie a new Soccor Jersey that none of the Team Members had yet, and have their picture taken. Ronnie was so excited, he held onto that jersey all afternoon with a big smile on his face.

Tomarra is an amazing pro mt. bike racer who is also living with lupus. Although she was not feeling very well most of the weekend, she was in good spirits and I enjoyed getting to know her.

We all hung out together talking, laughing, sitting around the camp fire, playing with Buddy the dog, and riding our bikes. Thank you for your friendship and kindness, we enjoyed our time with you so much. Ronnie and Dyllan will always remember how fun our weekend with you was, and we hope to be able to do it again.

LOVE YOU HONEY!!!

More than words can say
More powerful each day
My love for you expands
Through time and distant lands

It was only yesterday that I saw you from across the school courtyard ,and in that moment I knew that my heart would always belong to you.

An Amazing Story

Last night my son and three of his friends were playing at the school behind our house on their skateboards when six teenagers grabbed their boards and took off. Dyllan was devastated, he came running home screaming, we jumped in the car right away but could not find the teens or their boards. Dyllan had only had his new custom board since his birthday this January, and we were all just sick that the teens could do such a thing.

I have been working on the law of attraction, and I thought to myself.....how have I possibly attracted this situation into my life? In my meditation this morning I put my thoughts to work on thinking better thoughts about people in general and about our world. I know sometimes we can all have such negative thoughts about how people behave. I also thought to myself, wouldn't it be nice if we found Dyllans skateboard at the school.

When I got home from picking up Dyllan from school today and walked up to the front door, guess what........Dyllans skate board was sitting at our front door with a note on it!

We were so Surprised and Grateful to see Dyllans board at the door in perfect condition!

Dyllans good friends found the skateboard in the bushes at the school and new that it belonged to him.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH JOEL and TYLER!!

Think better thoughts, and create a better world for all of us!

Fall In Love With Yourself......

And The Rest of the World will be There to Fall in Love with You Too!

I am not talking about conceit...I am talking about a healthy love for yourself, who you are and your beautiful body. The way you feel about yourself radiates out into the universe and draws back to it the energy you are putting forth. So if you dislike who you are and how you look, you will draw to you the circumstances and people that will confirm your own thoughts about who you are.

I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE GREAT

AND THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MAGNIFICENT ABOUT YOU!

I LOVE WHO I AM AND WHO WE ARE TOGETHER,
YOU AND I
&
OUR INCREDIBLE BOYS!

Something better is on its way!

"A person can only harm you if you believe that they can."

The Power that is within me is Greater than the Power within the World!

I am the creator of my life. I am the author. I write the story, the pen is in my hand and the outcome is whatever I choose it to be.

I am more than I think I am
and I can be even
more than that!

Each of us receives back the energy we put out into the world. What kind of energy are you sending out into the universe? Are you creating a life you feel good about?

I FEEL GOOD
JOYFUL
GRATEFUL

A VISION OF PEACE & ENLIGHTENMENT

The vision I hold for me is of Peace and Enlightenment in my life experience. Light hearted with a great sense of humor, I am always striving to take things with a grain of salt, never taking life too seriously.

It is important to me not to take things others do personally, because nothing others do is because of me. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When I am immune to the opinions and actions of others, I won't be the victim of needless suffering.

It is my intention, under any circumstance, to simply do my best, and avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret. This is the vision I hold for myself!

What is the vision you hold in your heart for your life?

I DID IT!!!

I had the best time this weekend! Ron and I (and kids) went with some friends of ours to a Cyclecross event in Wastonville this weekend and had such a great time.

I first attended a Cyclecross clinic on Saturday morning with a great instructor named Carmen. Carmen was so great, she made it look so easy and she worked with us for several hours. I only planned on doing the clinic because I thought it would be fun to try, I have never raced before and I have only gone Mt. Biking once. Carmen thought the race would be great practice for me so I told her I would think about it.

Sunday morning I woke up thinking that it would be crazy for me to try this race with so little experience, but I thought, What The Hell......I will do it! Oh My GOD, it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I wanted to die after my first lap, but all my friends and my honey kept cheering me on, so I kept going. The other racers were so nice to me, every time they lapped me they told me how great I was doing. By my third lap, with Ron following me on his bike cheering me on I finished the race dirty, tired, and tears running down my cheeks.

I am going back in two weeks to give it another go. All I need now is a new Pink cyclecross bike!

MOM.......Stop taking pictures!!!

This is Ronnie being molded for his new back brace. He was a good sport, and lay very still for the fellow to be able mold him. As you can see, it was a very messy process, and of course I wore my nice black pants to this appointment. I had white chalk all over myself by the end of this.

My way or the Highway!

FRANKZILLA THE CAT

This is the look we get whenever we sit in Frankies favorite spot. The trick is, he changes his favorite spot frequently, and he expects you to get the hell out of his chosen spot "Pronto"!

This is also the look we get if Frankie is hungry, and he gets pretty cranky if we don't hop-to-it and get him his dam food! Not only do I get the look, but he will follow me all around the house meowing and biting my legs.

I made the mistake of letting my big ol boy sleep with me while Nome was away and now he has been banging on our bedroom door at night......Let me iiiiiinnnnnnnn!

Oh My!

Gosh, I got so busy that I have not been on my computer for 12 days, SORRY!

I had 142 messages but only 1 from someone I know, how sad is that? I will try to be more on top of things my dear blogging friends, time just got away from me these past two weeks. I have been doing the back to school thing with my lovely 6th grader, and the body work thing with my little boo. My little shmooty-boo has some new doctors that we have been going to a lot lately so that we can fix up his little back.

My poor little guy will be wearing a back brace, having traction, rolfing, physical therapy, chiropractic, botox and a whole assortment of other therapies to help him with his twisty little spine. Makes me tired just thinking about all the driving I will be doing this year.

I have also been riding my bike and hiking when I have a moment to spare, so by the time I have a moment to rest I am out like a light!

My sensitive Gemini

Julious is my sensitive little Gemini boy. He gets his feelings hurt so easily, raise your voice at him and he will sulk in a corner. He is also the most loving fellow you will ever meet! Like a dog, he will roll over on your lap for a belly rub and he will make sure he makes his rounds to all of the family members for kitty loving time.

When it is "his" love time we have to stop what we are doing and make sure to pay full attention or he will get his little kitty feelings hurt.

Just look at that cute little mug!

Having Fun With The Girls!

I could use a good night out with the girls right about now! All you mom's and wives out there, I'm sure you know where I am coming from. No kids, no guys, just the girls drinking it up and having a good laugh.

Last year a few of my friends came over while my man was away, and we had such a great time! We drank too much, talked about things only drunk girls talk about when there are no guys around, and one of my friends was kind enough to give visual demonstrations as well!

Anyway, it was great fun and I am about due for another round of my own version of Drunk University.Com;))

No guys and no cameras allowed!
